All three of those desires and expectations have been met. It led me to write the next three books over a five year period in addition to a series of children’s books which have also been met with much enthusiasm. I feel very blessed indeed.
What has been more amazing is the sights along that path. I became involved in hosting a radio talk show through a complex set of circumstances which led to a larger radio footprint that involves global promotion. I have met and helped to influence hundreds of people, and that is a very humbling thought.
What I have come to realize since I first began the journey that has led me here is just this..... it has been a journey of a lifetime. It hasn’t only been the journey of the last few years, and it has been the result of the collection of all of the decisions and choices I have made over the course of my lifetime that has gotten me where I am now. That is true for us all, whether we ever realize it or not. This brings me to the topic of this blog.
William Shakespeare captured it quite nicely in “As You Like It: “All the world’s a stage and all the men and women merely players.” He continued to remind us that we also play many parts at different times. When you think about it, he was quite correct. There are many stages to our lives and when we realize that we are not only the actor but also the writer, director, and producer of the story of our lives,
This is not a comparison I can take credit for. It was something that Neville Goddard wrote about it the 1930’s. When we think of the “job” that the producer has in a script, it is there that the theme is suggested. In our lives, it is usually in the form of a wish or desire for our lives. [ we will use the example of wishing for a successful life]. As the writer, then we create the script. We can write it with our dreams and imagination. We can include opportunities we hope to have such as travel, family, and careers. It is a blank canvas and will become a beautiful life.
It is at this point that we direct our own actions. We are the actor, moving around on the stage, accepting direction from ???? What? We accept direction from our feelings about what we are doing. When we let our emotions direct our lives, we can make finely tuned adjustments so that the thoughts become things. This may sound a bit crazy at first, it did to me. Do you actually mean that we create our lives? Does this mean that outward events do not shape us? Well, outward events shape us to the extent that we allow them to. If, and when, we take responsibility for our reactions to events outside our control, we learn the secret of having the life we desire.
I am going to continue to write on this topic because I have found it to be so helpful in my own life. As I write about it, I not only share it, but I also find that it deepens the commitment to those values and ideas within my own life. We do indeed create our lives through our thoughts and actions. It is with this in mind that I tell you today, make it the best day you possibly can.
Something To Ponder
